Proposals for invited sessions are now being accepted for next year's Joint Statistical Meetings, which will be held August 3-8,  2013 in Montréal, Quebec, Canada.

If you are interested in proposing an invited session for JSM 2013 through SRMS, please e-mail the following information to me at fkreuter@survey.umd.edu by July 27, 2012:

Invited sessions can consist of paper sessions, poster sessions, or panel discussions.

Please send:
1. Session title

2. Session description: motivation for the proposed session, brief
description of session content and speakers, and preliminary title of each talk. Preliminary abstracts are welcome but not absolutely necessary at this point.

3. Session format: organizer, chair, speakers, discussant (if
applicable), and a statement that all participants have confirmed
willingness and availability to attend the session.  Typically, an
invited session can consist of four speakers, or three speakers and one discussant (25 minutes each). The duration of each session is 110 minutes, including introduction and floor discussions.

4. Speakers: for each speaker, name, affiliation, and contact
information.

5. Discussant (if applicable): name, affiliation, and contact
information.

I would be happy to answer any questions and discuss preliminary ideas for sessions with anyone as well.

Preliminary due date for proposals is July 27, 2012.  Final  decisions on sessions will be made shortly thereafter.
