How can action research contribute to leadership evaluation methodologies

In the Webinar "Innovations and Effectiveness of Participatory Evaluation Methodologies" hosted by the Leadership Learning Community, directors from the Institute of International Education and RCLA will share insights from using participatory action research methods to evaluate IIE’s reproductive health leadership program in five countries in Africa and Asia. They will also share key findings from the evaluation.

Presenters:

Cheryl Francisconi is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and is the Director of the Institute of International Education’s office in sub-Saharan Africa, where she provides overall guidance and management related to the development of IIE’s education and leadership programs in the region, serving as a leadership trainer as well.

Bethany Godsoe is the Executive Director of the Research Center for Leadership in Action. She has deep expertise in leadership development for organizations using Cooperative Inquiry, an action-research methodology.
Amparo Hofmann-Pinilla is the Deputy Directory of RCLA and brings over 20 years of experience with action research, community-based research, and expertise in social change leadership and leadership networks at the national and international levels.  She was the principal evaluator of the IIE leadership program.
Judith Kallick Russell has worked for over 20 years in international development and peace building. She has competencies in program design, management and evaluation and skills in participatory evaluation and group facilitation.  She was the co evaluator for the IIE leadership program.
